MAPPING PAPAY
The Clipperton Project / Floating Laboratory / and Papey Listskjul / Papay Arts Centre / are inviting you to take a part in a collaborative MAPPING PAPAY project and to map the island Papay (Papa Westray) by:
- measuring
- walking,
- dreaming,
- sailing around,
- sound,
- image,
- film,
- poetry,
- science
and any other possible way
MAPPING PAPAY project is inclusive and open to any media and any age and any professional level and we hope to see a great contribution from the entire population of Papa Westray, artists and scientists of the Clipperton Project and all who wish to travel to the island.
If some of you are unable to travel to Papay (Papa Westray) you are very welome to contribute by "distant mapping" using Google Earth or imagination and post your map to us /as a digital file, analog object, text../
All collected map data will be collected and overlayed creating an alternative, unique map of the island: exposing what we know about the place and exploring unknown, looking at the past present and future of the island combining art and science research practice
