A TRILOGY OF PERFORMANCE FILMS DIRECTED BY CHIARA AMBROSIO WITH MUSIC BY BIRD RADIO, in collaboration with Papa Gyro Nights Festival, visual artist Nicholas McArthur and choreographer Nuria García. A groundbreaking, cross-disciplinary collaboration that will explore the fertile space where image, music and performance meet to create and animate a visionary and inspiring performative universe.
The films will tell an epic tale of initiation and rebirth by fire, traversing both exterior and interior landscapes in search of unity and completion. The films will be shot in the summer of 2013 against the dramatic backdrop of Papa Westray, the most remote of the Orkney islands, with the help and support of Papay Gyro Nights Art Festival, an arts organisation set up on the island by international artists Ivanov + Chan
